I think that this speech is one of the greatest of all time because of the emotion and the way that he relates to the average American citizen. JFK uses a lot of pathos in this speech to relate to every kind of American. He talks about focusing on the future but also uses the past as an example. Most of his sentences and the points he is trying to make are all short and to the point. This speech also has one of the most quoted lines from a speech ever.
